Each breath deepening
​To strike a flaming moment
And pierce shadows’ veils
With golden shafts of light.

It’s here,
even in darkness — it’s here.
Holding,
Seeking outlet where it can.
Again and again,

deepening --
to strike a flaming moment

​Has it heeded a call that cries silently within?
Or is it simply extravagant --
always, everywhere,
in the infinitely small or vast unknown?
Flowing—filling
to the furthest reaches --
Illuminating,
with a single glint
of luminous presence.
