Jour 2 - C’est parti / Day 2

Flores est une toute petite île des Açores. L’île la plus à l’ouest de l’archipel. (Le boute du boute du continent européen.) Vraiment toute petite. 17 km du nord au sud, 12 km d’est en ouest, population : 3500 habitants. Je suis dans un tout petit village, Faja Grande : 220 âmes. Sur la côte ouest où la mer est violente et oh… si belle.

Flores is a very small island in the Azores. The westernmost island of the archipelago. The tip of the tip of the European continent. Really, very small. 17 km from north to south, 12 km from east to west, with a population of 3,500 inhabitants. I’m in a tiny village, Faja Grande, with 220 people, on the western coast where the sea is violent and oh… so beautiful.

C’est un petit coin de paradis. L'île est classée en tant que réserve de biosphère par l'Unesco depuis 2009. C’est une île verte, verte, verte. Des milliers de teintes de vert - non, des millions de teintes de vert. 

Flores is a little paradise. The island has been designated a biosphere reserve by UNESCO since 2009. It’s a green island, green, green, green. Thousands of shades of green – no, millions of shades of green.
